"Person-centered"

Our goal is for your loved one to continue living a life of quality with the comforts of home, safely and securely with assistance and supervision as needed.

A smaller, residential environment allows us to have a person-centered focus which respects individual preferences and dignity.

"Help me to do it myself"

Borrowing from the Montessori Method, we encourage autonomy in decision making and independence in the activities of daily living to alleviate depression and promote feelings of well being.  Residents are encouraged to participate in the running of the home as they are willing and able.

nO CARE LEVELS

Our rates are far below big campus assisted living facilities.  The emerging care needs of the elderly requires frequent evaluation and adaptation to their service plan.

Our basic monthly service fee is inclusive, meaning our service fees are not based on a monthly apartment or room rent plus a service fee based on "care levels".  Our rates do not increase with the changing assistance  requirements of the resident.

Our Services

Our residence offers four private and one semi-private room with a maximum capacity of 6 residents.  Our monthly fee includes room and board, linens, laundry, medication management, assistance by qualified care givers, companionship, and socialization.  We provide personal hygiene products and basic craft fees.  Residents provide briefs and nutritional supplements and salon services when requested.

Home cooked meals

Residents may participate in menu planning and meal preparation as willing and able.  We cater to resident preferences and adhere to special diets as ordered by physicians and other health care professionals.

Person centered

Each of our resident rooms is uniquely designed to assist residents in recognizing their rooms. Rooms are furnished with single beds, dresser, chair, night stand, lamp, and mirror.   Residents are encouraged to bring blankets, pillows, photos, and decor items to add personalization and comfort.

Socialization and activities

Not all residents will be willing or able to attend community events outside of the home.  Our home was designed to have a separate room for crafts, games, and personal family celebrations.  Family game nights, movie nights, and activities provided by volunteers from the community are an important aspect of our program.

Our Companions

Special relationships . . .

Special relationships . . .

Our caregivers are caring, compassionate people who love to work with our resident population, using a person-centered approach which respects the dignity and individuality of our residents.  Our caregivers work in collaboration with medical professionals, hospice, family members and volunteers to provide support and care.

Our caregivers are experienced, background checked, and insured.  They are certified in CPR and basic first aid, fire prevention and safety, prevention of communicable disease, and medication administration.  They are RN supervised and directed to perform treatments that an un-licensed care giver could perform in the home.  We provide regular continuing education and training and have regular staff meetings to share the emerging care needs of our residents.  But most of all, they love what they do.
